A series of nine artworks depicting various scenes from the Book of Job
The 'and so forth...' painting process was inspired by the biblical story of Job, chronicled in the Book of Job. This artistic endeavor involved a nuanced approach, resembling a visual narrative echoing the layers of Job's tale. The narrative was segmented into nine distinct chapters, commencing with the introduction of Job as a virtuous individual, progressing through the adversities inflicted by the devil, navigating the extensive dialogues with his companions and concludes with the revelation of God. Each chapter was visually translated into a dedicated layer, meticulously captured through photography. The culmination of these layers results in the creation of the final painting, showcased alongside photographic representations of the eight layers at the exhibition.
I outline this three key points presented by the character "Elihu" to Job, which, in my perspective, encapsulate the essence of the Book of Job:
1. Cultivate virtue.
2. Embrace tribulations as valuable lessons.
3. The wisdom of God transcends our understanding. God's actions and the way He governs nature bear witness to His righteousness.
